FAQ
- Q. What content is in the Restaurant API?
- A. The Restaurant API contains all the information you need to make your site rich and engaging: restaurant name, address, menu items and prices, descriptions, delivery areas and more. By using this data your users can generate food orders.
- Q. How does the Order API work?
- A. The Order API allows you to send us the shopping carts that your users create. We take these orders, process the payment and send them to the appropriate restaurant for fulfillment. A confirmation is sent back to you when the order is approved.
- Q. Are there rate limits on either API?
- A. Right now we are not enforcing any rate limits, just keeping an eye on usage. Hopefully everyone will be respectful.
- Q. Is there a code library?
- A. We are building a series of libraries to help you launch your own food ordering service. These should start rolling out this summer. PHP, Javascript and Objective-C are in the works. Other languages will be tackled as soon as possible. If you build something we are happy to share it with the community.
- Q. Is your data harmonized with Foursquare?
- A. We are assessing this now and hope to have a plan shortly. We’ll let you know as soon as we can.
- Q. What’s the revenue share?
- A. We pay you 30% of the commission we earn on any order you send us. The exact amount will vary depending on many factors including the restaurant and order size, but generally you should expect about 1.0-1.5% on each order. This can really add up.
- Q. How do I get paid?
- A. We’ll pay you monthly by check. If you don’t generate more than $20 revenue share in any month, we will roll over the amount due until we owe you more than $20. We need your address and contact info.
- Q. Who do I contact with questions?
- A. Easy. tech@ordrin.com. We’d love to hear from you!
